EDISON 16, (formerly HCIS), is the 16th international conference on Electron Dynamics in Semiconductors, Optoelectronics and Nanostructures.
The purpose of EDISON is to provide an international forum on the latest progress in the field of physics and applications of nonequilibrium carrier dynamics in bulk semiconductors, nanostructures, and structures of molecular scales.
The following topics of current interest are covered in the scientific program of this meeting:
- Nonequilibrium carrier transport in bulk materials, heterostructures and nanostructures
- Coherent electron dynamics in solid state systems for quantum processing and communications
- Coherent/incoherent dynamics of optical excitations and ultra-fast optical phenomena
- Intersubband transitions and quantum cascade lasers
- TeraHertz phenomena in semiconductor materials and devices
- Semiconductor-based spintronics
- Transport in organic materials, graphene and carbon nanotubes
- Quantum carrier dynamics in ultrasmall structures, nanostructures and devices
