CVI Melles Griot long- and short-pass filters, also called edge filters, have sharp cutoff transitions from reflection to transmission. Short-pass filters transmit light at wavelengths shorter than the cutoff wavelength and reflect longer wavelengths. Long-pass filters reflect the shorter wavelengths and transmit the longer ones.
