NanoSight to supply Breakthrough Instrumentation for Wellcome Trust Technology Development Grant awarded to Human Diseases Research Team from University of Oxford
Amesbury, UK, May 2009: - NanoSight, manufacturers of unique nanoparticle characterization technology, are very proud to announce their close involvement in the research and development of a new generation of novel instrumentation and methodologies aimed at measuring cellular nanoparticles in plasma and urine as biomarkers of a broad range of human disease conditions.The research will be led by a world-class team from the University of Oxford which has recently been awarded a prestigious Wellcome Trust Technology Development Grant to work on the detection and characterisation of nanoparticles in the early detection of human disease.
The team is led by Professor Ian Sargent at the Women's Centre of the John Radcliffe Hospital and is part of the Oxford Biomedical Research Centre.
